2025 Evening of Hope Honoree – Benefactor Award

Lee Maniscalco, CEO of Haymarket Media, believes that corporate social responsibility begins at the top. He has actively put that belief into action by creating and nurturing a company-wide culture of giving back to the community. In addition to making financial contributions, Haymarket encourages its employees to donate time and energy to a wide variety of causes–a soup kitchen in New York City, a food pantry in New Jersey, an environmental clean-up campaign along the Hackensack River—and Center for Hope & Safety’s mission to save lives and rebuild lives affected by domestic violence.
Center for Hope & Safety is grateful to be a beneficiary of the Haymarket spirit of corporate and personal philanthropy. The company has generously supported Center for Hope & Safety and Evening of Hope for many years. Lee and his wife Christie, who live in Bergen County, NJ, have also made it a priority to support Center for Hope & Safety with their own donations.
“For me, giving back provides a sense of purpose,” Lee says. “Knowing you can make a difference in someone’s life is not only important, but rewarding. I’m thrilled to see the overwhelming participation by our Haymarket family in supporting worthy organizations like Center for Hope & Safety.”
Haymarket is a leading global media and information company headquartered in England. The US operation, focused on health care and business communications, is based in New York City with additional offices in Paramus, NJ, Illinois and Florida. Volunteers from Haymarket regularly join in Center for Hope & Safety’s holiday gift-wrapping at Paramus Park mall while supporting the agency’s other fundraising initiatives.
In December 2024, Center for Hope & Safety’s CEO Julye Myner was a featured panelist on a Haymarket video podcast highlighting its charity partnerships. The program was distributed to the entire Haymarket US workforce to help raise awareness of domestic violence and the vital work of Center for Hope & Safety.
“Without financial and volunteer support from corporations like Haymarket, we would not be able to provide a skilled team to meet the needs of the people we serve,” Julye noted. “In addition, publicly valuing our mission and reaching out to help is a very strong message to spread in the community.”
“I’ve known and worked with Lee for more than 30 years. He exemplifies the very best in civic-minded leadership,” adds Jeff Forster, a retired Haymarketer who served on the Center for Hope & Safety Board of Trustees for 10 years. ”Lee raises the bar for all of us.”
We are honored to present the 2025 Benefactor Award to Lee and Christie Maniscalco and Haymarket Media.
